We are students of words; we are shut up in schools, and colleges, and recitation rooms, for ten or fifteen years, and come out at last with a bag of wind, a memory of words, and do not know a thing.

He was the sea; she was an anchor. And she can’t do anything but drown.

I tell my students, ‘When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else. This is not just a grab-bag candy game.‘

Last resorts

The last time I woke up at two AM was a little over three years ago. It wasn’t sleep paralysis, or lucid dreaming. It was like having a bad dream, then waking up with a jolt and then getting the feeling that someone’s watching you and then your heart vibrates against your chest. Maybe it’s just a sick premonition but it’s not something common. Feeling like someone’s watching you from a particular space in the dark is not normal. I think. I experienced exactly that. I even kept looking at *that* particular space. I ended up forcing myself to sleep and waking up late.

It’s funny how when you were a kid, a day could last forever. Then you grow up, and all these years just seemed like a blink.

Welcome to society,
Where teenagers want to kill themselves
And students are stressed.
Where people give you hate on what you wear and what’s your weight.
Theres only sex, no love
No candy, just drugs
Where we cut for an escape.
parents beat and only preach hate
Where’s laws forbid being gay
And everything is weary and grey.
I hope you enjoy you visit to society
Just try not to get depression and anxiety.

Welcome to society..

Nobody looks good in their darkest hours. But it’s those hours that make us what we are. We stand strong, or we cower. We emerge victorious, tempered by our trails, or fracture by a permanent, damning fault line.
